Make the most of your online fundraising page with these top tips and watch the sponsorship money roll in.

  • Personalise your page – make it unique!  Add photos, tell people why you're taking part in Shine and keep them updated on your progress.
  • Log in to your page and share it on Facebook and Twitter, or use one of the ready made emails. It’s the easiest way to spread the word and ask people to sponsor you wherever they are in the world.
  • Ask close friends and family members to sponsor you first as they are likely to be more generous and others will follow suit.
  • You can update your page easily with the JustGiving iPhone app, or if you have an Android smartphone, search for "JustGiving" in the Android marketplace.
  • You can even get sponsored by text, log in to your page to find out how.
  • Email people in groups, so you can write different messages to different people.
  • Time your messages carefully. Remember people are much happier to make a donation just after pay day.
