e've put together some handy tips and tools to help you promote your Cancer Research UK Shine walk and raise money for translational research.
Tip 1: Make it easy for people to sponsor you
Always remember to send people to your online fundraising page – it's the best way to get sponsored. It's really quick and easy.
Tip 2: Use our sponsorship form
You can also collect donations using the Shine sponsorship form (PDF, 206KB). This is really handy if you're organising bake sales or quiz nights!
Don’t forget to return your sponsorship form to us along with all the money you raise. This will enable us to claim Gift Aid on your fundraising.
Tip 3: Download posters and flyers
We have lots of useful posters that you can use to help promote Shine and boost your sponsorship!
Why not pop them round your office at work or ask your local shopkeepers to pop one up in their window?

- Promote your pre-Shine fundraising events to friends and colleagues with our Shine Fundraising poster (PDF, 329 KB)

Tip 4: Flick through our online Welcome Booklet
Our online welcome booklet will inspire you and give you all the information you need to share with your friends. Flick through the pages online, or download and print your own copies.
Tip 5: Get creative
There are lots of other ways to raise money ahead of Shine. Take a look at our fundraising ideas for great inspiration on how you and your supporters can raise as much money as possible to help beat cancer.
Tip 6: Gift Aid it
Don't forget to encourage your friends and family to Gift Aid their donation when they sponsor you. It can increase the value of their donation by 25% – at no extra cost to you or them – and it means so much more money can be raised for Cancer Research UK.
